The Beloved St. John Community Development Corporation (CDC) is a non-profit organization, incorporated September 1998. The CDC was created to assist and support the residents of the 19140 and surrounding areas. Our mission is to offer solutions for many of the issues plaguing our community. Homelessness, drugs, alcohol, poverty, lack of educational resources are some of the systemic issues facing our community.

Providing enrollment in CHIP and Adult Basic insurance coverage, feeding the hungry, and VITA Tax Preparation Service are some of the services sponsored by the CDC. Future plans of the CDC includes a day care center, educational opportunities, counseling sessions, elderly programs, affordable housing, and a clothing program.
