Audio Ministry
The Audio Ministry is responsible for the set up and operation as well as maintenance of an effective sound system for all worship services at Beloved St. John. Responsibilities also include mass production of audiotapes for all services. Our audio equipment consists of a three hundred plus channel Mackie Mixer Board where the sound of all microphones and in-house speakers are controlled. 

This ministry also helps to spread the gospel via distribution of audiotapes and CDs for all services. The ministry aims to bless God’s people with the word of God and through this ministry individuals can revisit, rehear, and re-experience the messages preached and taught. 

Bereavement Ministry
This ministry provides compassion and love to members of Beloved St. John who experience the loss of a loved one. Prayer and biblical care is shared with the bereaved for the purpose of spiritual support and restoration.

Deacons and Deaconess Ministry
The Deacons and Deaconess Ministry is responsible for supporting the Pastor and providing care and service to the congregation. They are responsible for a high standard of service as set forth in 1 Timothy 3:8-13. The deacons and deaconess serve as leaders and their responsibilities include: 

  • Participation in the ordinances of the church, i.e. Water Baptism and Holy Communion.

  • Providing hospital and home visitation, as well as prayer for the sick and bereaved members of the congregation. 

  • Assist with implementing the vision and goals of the ministry. 

Deacon and Deaconess Family Ministry
The Deacon and Deaconess Family Ministry is a part of the Deacon and Deaconess Ministry and they have the responsibility to pray for each of the families within the church congregation. Additionally, Deacons and Deaconess are assigned specific families within the congregation and they contact each family a minimum of one time per month. This is done via home visitation, phone calls or one-on-one at the church. Through this contact they minister to members’ spiritual needs while being an encouragement and blessing to the entire family. They are also responsible for building an on-going relationship with the families and becoming familiar with each family member. It is the goal of this ministry to work in partnership with God and our Senior Pastor to bridge the gap between him and all the families of our church.

Desktop Publishing
This ministry supports all ministries within the Church via creating and printing ministry publications. Desktop Publishing provides fast, efficient service and produces top quality work through proficient application, while ministering to the needs of others through servant hood. Responsibilities include producing and maintaining Brochures, Flyers, Special Programs, Forms, Event Tickets, Booklets and Handbooks and other miscellaneous items.

Disciples of Christ (DOC) Ministry
The purpose of The Disciples of Christ (DOC) Men’s Ministry is to assist men in their spiritual development. This ministry is built upon Godly principles and meets every 4th Saturday from 9am to 12:00noon. As men meet in unity God’s word is taught and men share of the goodness and mercy of Christ in their lives, as they exhort and encourage one another. The goal of this ministry is to equip men so that can become effective Christian leaders in their homes as well as within the body of Christ.

The Sons of Promise Ministry
The Sons of Promise Ministry ministers to the needs of young men from the ages of 12 to 17. They meet the 2nd Friday of each month at 7pm to openly discuss issues facing our young men. This ministry also offers outdoor activities. The ministry theme is “Young Men Maximizing Their Potential.”

Health Team Ministry
This ministry provides support to the congregation for emergency medical situations when necessary. The ministry is lead by a Registered Nurse who also coordinates screenings and education on health related issues for the church membership as well as members of the community.

Intercessory Prayer Ministry
This vital ministry is responsible for continually praying for the Senior Pastor and the church ministry, seeking the will of God for the ministry and for the vision that the Lord has given for Beloved St. John. Also, intercessory prayer times are established at the church for believers to come together and seek the face of God for souls to be saved and lives restored by the power of God. Intercessory prayer times at Beloved are:

  • Sunday: 7 to 7:45am

  • Monday through Friday : 12noon to 1pm

  • Wednesday: 7 - 8pm

  • All Night Prayer: Every 1st Friday; 10pm to 6am

  • All Day Prayer: Every 5th Saturday; 8am to 3pm

Marriage Enrichment Ministry
The purpose of this ministry is to provide Biblical guidance to married couples, teaching them how to enhance their marriages through the word of God, working toward oneness in Jesus Christ. The goal of the ministry is to help establish homes where Jesus Christ is the center. This ministry meets every 2nd Saturday from 2 - 4pm

Music Ministry
The Music Ministry includes musicians, praise and worship team and church choirs whose purpose is to lead the congregation into the presence of the Lord through praise and worship. Music is a vital part of the worship service and the Music Ministry’s goal is to glorify God through song. The Music Department consists of the following groups: The Adult and Youth Praise and Worship Teams, Teen Choir, Mass Choir and the Senior Choir.

Security Ministry
This ministry provides security to members, visitors and property of Beloved St. John Evangelistic Church. Members of this ministry are responsible for patrolling the outside and inside of the church facility, ensuring a safe environment of worship. This ministry is called upon to handle emergency situations in an effective Christian manner while providing prompt service and treating all individuals with respect and courtesy.

Singles Ministry
The Singles Ministry is established for Christian Adults where they can learn of God’s will for the single person and find wholeness and fulfillment in Christ. The ministry meets every 3rd Friday of the month at 7pm. Activities include open forum discussions where singles related issues are discussed, speakers to encourage, fellowship with church members as well as other single ministries within the body of Christ.

Ushers Ministry
The Ushers greet every member and visitor as they enter the sanctuary and direct them to a seat. They serve as watchmen, servants and hosts of the church. They are also responsible for distributing Church Bulletins to the entire congregation as well as Welcome Packets to all visitors. Ushers are present at all services held at the church where they attend to the needs of the Pastor and congregation as needed.

  • Greeters:
    Greeters are an extension of the Usher Ministry and they are responsible for extending warmth and love to everyone and to make all visitors feel welcome. Greeters also assist with the distribution of Church Bulletins and Welcome Packets.

Vineyard Keepers
This ministry is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the Beloved St. John Church building. The ministry cleans the inside and outside of the church, as well as all communal areas, after each worship service ensuring a clean place of worship at all times.

Virtuous Christian Women’s Ministry
The Virtuous Christian Women’s Ministry’s purpose is to nurture and minister to the women of Beloved St. John. This ministry meets every 3rd Saturday from 9am to 12noon. Lives of women are enriched and spirits are ministered to, as relevant topics are shared/discussed via open panel discussion and individual speakers.

Daughters of Destiny
The Daughters of Destiny (DOD) Ministry ministers to young ladies between the ages of 12 to 17 and meet every 3rd Saturday from 12 - 2pm. Their ministry theme is “Young Women Seeking the Heart of God”.

Ladies of Purpose
The Ladies of Purpose Ministry ministers to young women between the ages of 18 to 29 and meet every 2nd Saturday from 12 - 2pm.

The R.O.C.K Youth Ministry

The R.O.C.K (Relationship Outreach for Christ Kingdom) Youth Ministry ministers to youth from the ages of 11 to 17. The goal of the ministry is to help youth develop and maintain a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Realizing that peer pressures and so many other issues face our youth today, this ministry seeks to address all these issues in a supportive and Godly manner. Activities include the following:
